Roles and Responsibilities

Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitor network traffic and systems for suspicious activities using advanced tools like SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems.
Incident Response: Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, phishing attacks, and unauthorized access, ensuring rapid containment and resolution.
Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify and address potential weaknesses in systems and applications.
Policy Development: Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR and ISO 27001.
Risk Analysis: Perform risk assessments to identify potential threats and recommend mitigation strategies to protect sensitive data and infrastructure.
Security Awareness Training: Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices, including safe internet usage and recognizing phishing attempts.
System Hardening: Implement and maintain security configurations for servers, firewalls, and endpoints to prevent unauthorized access.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT and development teams to integrate security into software development and system upgrades.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, audits, and compliance status for management and regulatory bodies.
Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to ensure Web Jeevan remains ahead of potential risks.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in tools like Wireshark, Nessus, Splunk, or other SIEM platforms; knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
Certifications: Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex security issues and propose effective solutions.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams and present findings to stakeholders.
